Our goal is to uplift nurses who serve at the bedside, providing them with the resources and encouragement to excel academically and professionally. By enhancing nurses’ skills and creating leadership pathways within their regular hours, Empower RN empowers these essential caregivers to lead initiatives that directly improve patient experiences and outcomes.
Empower RN was founded by Ben Bersick, DNP, who, through his nursing career, observed the gap in leadership opportunities for bedside nurses holding advanced degrees. Ben’s journey from an RN to earning his DNP revealed the critical need for advanced education to be valued in bedside roles. Empower RN advocates for increased pay for highly educated bedside nurses and for the integration of leadership responsibilities within their standard work hours, ensuring that advanced education leads to real career growth at the bedside.
